  Blurb

  She’s my PA.

It’s so wrong to think of her that way.

But Sara doesn’t make it easy.

With her proactive dresses and her come to bed eyes…

I’m not sure if I can resist her any longer.

I’ve never in my life given into a woman the way I want to give into her.

It’s simply impossible to escape from her, even if I wanted to.

And finally, I caved into my cravings.

  But soon she walked away.

And when I learn she’s carrying my baby…

I’ll do anything to bring back my family.

Even if it means following her everywhere.

  Chapter 1 – Ryan

The smiles surrounding me in the conference room are the first good sign that this meeting is going well. This deal is very important for me and the company moving forward, I have a lot riding on it, so the smiles allow me to relax just a little bit. It’s been a stressful few weeks getting us to this point, so to let go of that feels amazing. To know that all of the stress has been worth it and that I will get everything that I have been aiming for.

“I’m so glad that we’re all happy.” I fold my hands together to try and disguise my glee. “I’m sure that this is a deal we can all benefit from moving forward…”

My little speech is distracted by the door to the conference room swinging open and Sara sauntering in, confidently holding on to a tray of coffees like she has been waitressing for her whole life. I love having her as my personal assistant because whatever task is assigned to her, she completely does it to the best of her ability, all while managing to make it look easy.

“I have three coffees, one with sugar…” She glances around the room with an intoxicating twinkle in her eyes, “And two teas as well. Then there is the green tea…”

She knows what drink mine is, but expertly serves everyone else first to help make them feel as welcome as possible. She is a real people person, and everyone warms to her… but these guys are really warming to her, I can see it in their eyes. Their hungry ogling eyes as they take in every inch of her. Sara is to be admired for sure. With her sweet smile, her long, luscious legs, her piercing blue eyes, and then, of course, her eye catching curves. She’s gorgeous and they know it. Now that have even taken to exchanging little knowing glances with one another, probably wondering if she’s single and who might be the one to ask her out…

Oh God. Weirdly, the idea of one of these guys taking her out spikes ice cold jealousy all the way through me. I don’t like it at all. Not that it’s any of my business who takes her out on dates, or who she decides to go out with, of course. As long as her love life has no effect on the business it really doesn’t matter to me at all. Just like everyone else who works for me. I don’t get involved in their personal lives and they don’t get involved in mine.

I avert my eyes away from Sara and scold myself. I’m not about to screw up this deal because of my weird jealousy right now. Sara is my personal assistant, not someone I own. It isn’t like I even want to own a part of her either, just because she’s very beautiful…

Never mix business and pleasure. That’s my main rule. One I have always stuck to. I certainly don’t intend to break it now with the one person who I am closest to in the office, who I rely on the most. There is no way I could do without Sara, so I can’t over complicate it.

Once Sara leaves the room, exiting with a collective sigh behind her, I quickly return the focus of the meeting to work and the deal instead because the last thing I want to do is listen to any of these men actually talking about Sara. I don’t know if I will be able to handle that. Luckily, these men are professional and are happy to get back to work. Thank God…

I huff wearily and head back in to my office with a sense of exhaustion over coming me. I’m pleased with how far things have gone today, but I’m tired now, ready for the day to be over. I just have a few more emails to send before I can be ready to leave for the day.

“How did things go?” Sara asks me while stretching out her long legs underneath her own desk. Her limbs catch my attention, I can’t help myself but look at them. They are sexy as hell. Even if I know that I shouldn’t look at them because it’s wrong, I can’t stop.

“Erm, yeah.” I shake my head and re focus my attention back on my own desk. “It went well. The deal is all done and tied up now. We are heading in the right direction.”

“I take it you would like another coffee then?” she giggles. “Before you start on with your emails. Am I right?” She shoots me a wink as she grabs the mug off my desk.

“You are.” Sara knows my schedule well. She has known me well ever since she first started working here. That familiarity is nice, it makes my days run much smoother. “Thank you.”

Once she leaves the office to use the coffee machine in the canteen, I find it easier to breathe. There is something about Sara that catches my breath in my throat and leaves me dizzy.

“What are you doing?” I mutter to myself. “Stop it. Remember the rule.”

I am a successful man who gets plenty of female attention. There is absolutely no reason for me to worry about the one person I can’t have. That’s just silly. I’m only thinking all of these things now because of the guys in the meeting staring at her, it has my head all over the place.

“I just need a little break.” I rub my head hard, wondering when I was last away from the office. “I just need to see some other women. I spend too much time with Sara.”

I should go and visit one of my brothers, that would be a good break away from all of this. I haven’t seen any of them for months now, we all live too far apart for regular visits, but perhaps it would be a good time for me to make time to see at least one of them.

“Hey, Sara…” As soon as she brings me the drink, I leap on the idea before I change my mind. “Can you book me next week off work, cancel all my meetings, I want to see Ben…”

“You brother?” Wow, she really does know everything about me. “It has been a while, hasn’t it? But you can’t book next week off. It’s the annual team building trip.”

I stare at her blankly for a couple of seconds just blinking with confusion. I know what she’s talking about, I know the importance of team building and encouraging communication between all levels of staff in the business, which means that I am thoroughly on board with this. But I didn’t know that it was next week. I guess I must have missed that.

“Have you forgotten?” Sara rolls her eyes and laughs. “I booked it a few months ago.”

“What are we doing?” I try not to groan but I don’t know if this will help me feel any better.

“I booked it at the Chambers Resort. They run events like this. There will be a combination of physical activity to loosen everyone up, to get communication flowing better, and they also have relaxing parts of the trip as well, to give everyone a bit of everything.”

Admittedly, it sounds good. Especially when Sara sounds so excited about it. I suppose it will be bet
ter than being in the office for a change, and I do always see a big up swing in productivity once we have these events. I will just need to see it as a positive thing instead.

“Okay good.” I nod and smile. “Thank you for organizing that, Sara.”

“Oh, it’s no problem. I enjoy sorting out things like this. It’s fun. And I’m sure that we will all have a good time as well. It’s already perking people up, just thinking about it.”

I can only imagine… especially with Sara selling it to everyone with her aura of radiating happiness. If I didn’t enjoy having her as my personal assistant so much and I wasn’t convinced that I wouldn’t be able to get anyone as good as her to work for me, I would consider moving Sara in to the sales team because of her sunny personality, but I need her where she is.

“Well, I’m sure it will be great. Just send me all of the details, okay?”

“I have emailed them to you, boss, but I will do it again right now. Just give me a second.”

As always, with in seconds, I get the email promised to me. Sara never messes around or forgets anything. I run my eyes over the location she has picked, admiring the Chambers Resort as I do. It looks like a really nice place, a romantic kind of get away if I’m honest, but it will definitely foster a feeling of luxury which will keep everyone happy. My staff have been good this year anyway, they deserve to be treated to something nice and fun.

“Great, thank you, Sara, this looks awesome. I think it will be our best one yet.”

A secretive looking smile spreads across Sara’s face which leaves me wondering what’s going on inside of her mind. She is a bit of an enigma, to be honest when it comes to her personal life and what’s going on inside of her mind. I don’t need to know so I never ask, but she does always spike my curiosity. Even more so than usual today, but I guess that’s because I am hyper sensitive. On high alert. The meeting has me all on edge.

As Sara settles in to her work, I do the same thing. I try to clear the rest of my inbox because I would much prefer to stop working when I go home tonight. I am busy enough during the day. I don’t like to take things home to do with me as well.

Although today, it isn’t as straight forward as normal. It’s hard for me to keep focused because every time I let my mind wander for just a second, I find myself looking at Sara, thinking about her in a way that I shouldn’t be doing, day dreaming about her. Imagining not only what might be going through her mind right now, but what it would be like to kiss her as well. To feel those plump red lips of hers against mine, her hot sassy tongue inside of my mouth, her hands all over my body, touching me in a primal, animalistic way.

Stop it, I scold myself angrily. Just stop it…

But there is a swimming pool at the resort, I have seen it from the pictures that Sara sent me, and hot tubs as well, so now I keep thinking about Sara in a bikini. Her long legs exposed even more than she has them at work. She wears a lot of tight clothing, so I have seen the out line of her body, but in swim wear she would be basically naked which is too much for me to bear.

Is something going to happen? Again, this definitely isn’t a thought that should be crossing my mind, but I have very little control over that. Is this team building event going to lead somewhere? Could Sara be the one who will make me break my one cardinal rule?

It’s just the pictures that have my head all over the place, that’s all. My brain is going to all of the wrong places because I’m a bit of a mess. I’m very tired, that’s for sure, and it’s been a stressful few weeks. Perhaps by next week, all of this will be in the back of my mind and I won’t be focused on her legs quite so much. I hope so because I don’t want to end up getting myself in trouble here.

  Chapter 2 – Sara

“Sara!” Bella calls across the office from the reception desk as soon as she sees me. It’s almost like she has been waiting for me to leave Ryan behind. “How are you?”

I take a detour towards her with a big smile on my face. “I’m good, thank you. Just finalizing the details for the team building event next week. It’s going to be a good one.”

“Ooh.” Bella shivers and smirks. “It’s always good when you are behind it. I remember back when Ryan tried to organize it himself. It was always as dull as hell. You kick ass.”

She giggles and I can’t help but join in with that. I do always make sure that the staff have a good time because I think it fosters a much better atmosphere at work for a while. Everyone gets so bogged down in what they are doing in the office, and the petty office politics, that they forget how much fun we can all have. Ryan wants the team building to increase productivity and to make sure that we can all communicate well, but I think it goes much deeper than that.

“Well, we are going to be all getting sweaty together… then relaxing with drinks by the pool,” I inform Bella. “At least, that’s my plan anyway. That’s what I told them we want.”

“The drinking part sounds amazing to me… the physical activity, not so much.” She sees me cock my eyebrow at her and lifts her hands up in a surrendering gesture. “I will do it, though, you don’t need to worry. You know that I get stuck in to anything. I even did that muddy fun run you signed us all up for around Christmas time.”

“Hey, that was for a good cause,” I remind her. “Plus, you have to admit that it was funny to see Ryan all muddy and stressed out like that. His competitive side wanting to win…”

I must have that dreamy eyed look on my face that I seem to get every time I talk about Ryan because Bella nudges me playfully right away. “Ooh, you just adore him, don’t you?”

“He’s hot as all hell. Tall, dark, and handsome. Every woman’s dream.” I shrug my shoulders and wink. “You can see it as well. I just have the torture of working close to him at all times. It makes me all hot and bothered. I find it difficult to concentrate.”

“How you haven’t snagged him yet, I will never know.” Bella runs her eyes appreciatively up and down me. “I mean, look at you. You are a stone cold fox. I don’t know how he manages to resist your charms, especially when you turn up in a mini skirt.”

“Not a mini skirt,” I mock scold. “Just a garment to show off my best assets, that’s all. And I don’t know either. I keep giving him my best come to bed eyes, but he hasn’t made a move yet. If it was up to me and I could make a move, then I would have done it already. But I can’t because he’s the boss. He could decide to reject me and fire me if that’s what he wants.”

“Well, we have this team building event at a very posh sounding resort coming up.” Bella wiggles her eyebrows suggestively at me. “You never know what is going to happen there. It always feels like anything can happen at a place like that. Perhaps when you aren’t in the office and the drinks are flowing, things might happen. You never know…”

This time I can actually feel myself getting all misty eyed with excitement. The idea of something finally happening between me and Ryan after just over two years of working together is just too much for me. There was already a tingle between my thighs, but now it has intensified. I even squeeze my legs together to try and calm it down, but the butterflies in my panties keep on flapping anyway. I have no control over the flutters.

“Stop it, you.” A heat races up to my cheeks as I slap Bella playfully on the arm. “Don’t get me thinking about things like that. I still have a whole weekend to get through. I don’t know if I will be able to handle it. Let me just get to the resort first, then I can think about it.”

“I bet you won’t be thinking about anything else.” Bella continues to laugh, teasing me even though I have begged her not to. She knows that I don’t really mean it though.

“Me neither. But for now, I have to get some photo copies made.”

I leave Bella, swinging my hips confidently as I go. Nothing might have happened between me and Ryan, but that doesn’t mean nothing will. There is passion sizzling and burning between us all the time, even if he doesn’t want to acknowledge it. There is no way that he will be able to ign
ore what burns between us forever. It’s too intense, it’s practically overwhelming. He would have to be completely blind to not know what’s in the air.

Of course, I don’t know what is going to happen between me and Ryan after we end up hooking up. I don’t think we’ll be able to keep our hands off of one another which will make it more challenging for us to work together. But I’m sure that if we work together, we can make it happen. I believe in us. I believe that me and Ryan could be something special…

Once I set up the photo copying, I take a little break in the women’s bathroom for a moment. Not because I need to use the facilities or anything, but because these butterflies in my panties are absolutely demanding attention. I can’t ignore them anymore. Nor can I head back in to Ryan’s office knowing that I feel this way. It is honestly hard enough to be around him. This is something that I have taken to doing when the desire gets too much because I need a release.

It may be an unorthodox way to spend my working afternoon, but I am confident that it won’t always be this way. I’m sure that once we are together, it will be easier.

Inside the bathroom stall, once I have locked the door behind me, I press my flushed hot body up against the cool wall to try and calm myself down. Not that it’s going to work, I already know that. Instead, I lean my head backward, I slide my eyes closed, and I hitch my mini skirt upwards. The lace panties grazing against where I am aching to be touched only excite me further, making me feel like I might damn well explode if I don’t get what I need.

In my mind’s eye, we are already at the resort, already at the team building event, and me and Ryan are in the swimming pool alone. It isn’t the bathroom stall behind me, but the side of the pool instead. Ryan is pressed up against me, his hot breath all over my mouth and face, tingling all over my neck and skin. It isn’t my fingers slipping in to my underwear but his. His rough, calloused big fingers exploring my soaking wet slit, pushing in to me, to really feel me.
